Common questions
What should my LDL cholesterol be?
It depends on your risk. Under the 2026 ACC/AHA guideline, most adults in primary prevention aim for an LDL below 100 mg/dL. People at higher risk, such as those with diabetes and several risk factors or a 10-year risk of 10% or more, aim below 70. People with established heart disease aim below 70, and below 55 if they are at very high risk.
Why doesn't my lab report show my goal?
Lab reports print one normal range for everyone. Your goal depends on your own risk, so ask someone to calculate it rather than trusting the range on the report.
Is my information saved?
