The company
Preval Health is the trade name of CORDOC LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company formed in 2019, located at 4030 Wake Forest Rd Ste 349, Raleigh, NC 27609. Preval Health is a health technology company. It does not practice medicine or pharmacy.
Your clinicians
Care is provided by independent physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who practice through professional entities affiliated with MD Integrations, a national telehealth clinician network. Every Treating Clinician holds an active license in the state where you are located during your visit. You can see your clinician’s name, credentials and license state before or during your visit, and verify any license on your state board’s website.
Treating Clinicians make all medical decisions independently. Preval Health’s medical director, Kaustubh Dabhadkar, MD, a board-certified cardiologist licensed in North Carolina, writes the clinical protocols and reviews educational content. He does not act as a treating clinician for patients through the service.
States we serve
We are not yet seeing patients. Joining the waitlist lets us tell you when care opens in your state. Before the first visit in any state, this page will list every state where care is available.
Who can use Preval
When your spot opens, you answer a few yes or no questions before you pay. If you don’t meet these criteria, you are not charged. Your clinician confirms them again at your first visit.
- You are 18 or older.
- You will be in a state we serve during your visits.
- You want prescription treatment to lower LDL cholesterol, ApoB or Lp(a). Preval is prescription lipid management only.
- You are not pregnant, planning pregnancy in the next 12 months, or breastfeeding.
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, stent or bypass in the last 3 months.
- You do not have chest pain, shortness of breath or fainting now, or symptoms that are getting worse. If you do, call 911 or see a doctor today.
- You can get blood drawn at a lab and recheck labs after medicine changes.
What we treat, and what we do not
- High LDL cholesterol, high apolipoprotein B and related heart-risk factors in adults 18 and older, including statin intolerance, familial hypercholesterolemia and high lipoprotein(a).
- Medicines: only FDA-approved, commercially manufactured products, such as statins, ezetimibe, bempedoic acid and PCSK9 inhibitors, when a Treating Clinician decides they are appropriate.
- No compounded drugs, no controlled substances and no unapproved or investigational products.
- No emergency or urgent care. Chest pain or other urgent symptoms need 911 or an emergency room.
How a prescription happens
- You complete an intake with your medical history, medicines and recent labs.
- A Treating Clinician reviews it and, as your state requires, meets with you by video or phone or follows up by secure message.
- If the clinician decides a medicine is right for you, they send the prescription electronically to a state-licensed U.S. pharmacy, which may be your local pharmacy, a mail-order pharmacy or a manufacturer’s direct-to-patient pharmacy program.
- Ongoing prescriptions depend on follow-up labs and check-ins your clinician requires.
Preval Health does not dispense or sell medicines, and does not receive payments from drug manufacturers or pharmacies for prescriptions.
Labs and genetic testing
Lab tests are ordered by your Treating Clinician and run by CLIA-certified laboratories in the United States. Optional genetic testing is offered only with your consent, is ordered by your clinician, and is billed by Preval Health directly to you. We do not bill insurance.
